JNAC Collects Over Rs 15,000 in Fines During Encroachment Crackdown
The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee’s anti-encroachment campaign led to fines on nine individuals for unauthorized use of government land.
JAMSHEDPUR – In an ongoing effort to combat encroachment, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) under Municipal Manager Ravi Bharti’s leadership, has imposed fines on nine individuals, collecting a total of Rs 15,100.
The drive, extending across various localities on its third day, targeted unauthorized business activities on government property, including parking spaces and footpaths, in the Deobagan area of Golmuri.
Violators found conducting business without the necessary permits or engaging in the trade of animals on encroached land were among those fined.
The JNAC’s actions also involved issuing warnings to those non-compliant with local regulations, specifically regarding the illegal dumping of scrap materials and waste in public areas.
The initiative underscores the JNAC’s commitment to maintaining public order and ensuring the proper use of government land, aiming to deter future instances of encroachment and unauthorized commercial activities.
