Industrial Educational Tour for Sona Devi University at Hindustan Copper Mines

Sona Devi University’s educational tour to Hindustan Copper Limited’s mines offers students practical insights, enhancing their academic experience and fostering a positive outlook towards mining.

JAMSHEDPUR – Students from various departments of Sona Devi University, Ghatsila, embarked on an industrial educational tour to Surendra Mines and Musabani Mines of Hindustan Copper Limited, Moubhandar Ghatsila, on 24 January 2024.

The tour included 25 students and faculty members like Professor Mrs. Pooja Tiwari, Professor Kumari Shraddha Panda, and Professor Mr. Umesh Kumar Gupta.

This educational initiative aimed to provide students with hands-on learning experiences in different processing departments.

The tour fostered a positive attitude towards the mining industry among students.

Hindustan Copper Limited’s officials, including Kesari Yogesh Kansal (MGM Musabani), facilitated the tour, offering comprehensive insights into the mining operations.

The participating students gained valuable knowledge that will benefit their future courses.

The tour was part of Sona Devi University’s efforts to complement academic learning with practical industry exposure.

The success of the program was acknowledged by the university, with Vice Chancellor Dr. JP Mishra and Registrar Dr. Gulab Singh Azad advocating for more such educational tours.

The university expressed gratitude to the Hindustan Copper Limited team for their support and cooperation in making the tour successful.
