Jamshedpur Bolsters Security for Republic Day Festivities

75th Republic Day in Jamshedpur: Enhanced Security, Multi-layered Protection

Jamshedpur is set to celebrate the 75th Republic Day with heightened security and multi-layered protection. This includes a no-entry zone for heavy vehicles, strategic police deployments, and special checks at key locations to ensure a safe and successful event.

JAMSHEDPUR – The city of Jamshedpur is under heightened vigilance as it gears up for the 75th Republic Day celebrations.

This increased security involves strict monitoring at the city’s borders and strategic points such as markets, bus stands, and hotels.

Hotel operators have received directives to report any unusual activities to the police immediately.

To ensure an incident-free event, the police have prohibited the carrying of inflammable materials, bags, and other potential hazards to the parade ground.

Spectators attending the event will be subjected to thorough police checks before being allowed entry.

The central venue of the celebrations, Gopal Maidan, is under tight security with a significant deployment of police forces and JAP commandos.

Other critical areas throughout Jamshedpur are also under close surveillance to guarantee attendee safety.

Despite no specific threat reports, the security in Jamshedpur has been significantly reinforced.

Over a thousand police officers are positioned around the city, focusing on key sites.

Health Minister Banna Gupta is slated to hoist the national flag at Gopal Maidan, as per district administration sources.

To minimize disruptions, heavy vehicles are barred from entering the city on January 26 from early morning to late night.

A variety of participants, including students from 20 schools, RAF, JAP, and district police units, will join the parade, following the flag hoisting ceremony.

Civil societies, NGOs, and corporate groups are also preparing to present tableaus during the march.

East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri has been actively overseeing the preparations, with various committees formed for the main event at Gopal Maidan.

The flag hoisting is scheduled for 9:05 am at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur, marking a significant day for Jamshedpur as it celebrates the 75th Republic Day.
