Congress Honors Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose with Floral Tributes in Jamshedpur

In Jamshedpur, Congress leaders commemorated Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary with a series of respectful tributes and celebratory events, emphasizing his vital role in India’s independence.

JAMSHEDPUR – The morning’s first light in Jamshedpur witnessed a Prabhatpheri procession organized by Telco Block Congress and Gemco Board. Starting from Jhagrubagan, the procession culminated at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk. Anand Bihari Dubey, the District President, graced the event as the chief guest, marking a spirited start to the day’s celebrations. This event set the tone for the day’s tributes to a key figure in India’s fight for independence.

Among the numerous attendees at the celebration were key Congress figures including State Secretary Kamlesh Kumar Pandey, KK Shukla, and Riazuddin Khan. Also present were Ramdars Chaudhary, Jitendra Singh, Gurdeep Singh, and Rita Sharma, each playing a role in honoring the legacy of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Their participation highlighted the unified respect for Netaji’s contributions.

Rajgiri Singh Yadav, Tanveer Khan, Durga Prasad, Rani Rao, and Sachin Kumar Singh joined their colleagues in commemorating this significant day. Sanjay Ghosh, L Sonaram, Amrit Singh, Dibesh Raj, and Sunny Singh, along with Rajesh Kumar, also paid their respects, signifying a collective homage by the Congress community.

Anand Bihari Dubey, the District President, in his address, emphasized Netaji’s immense contribution to India’s independence. He noted how Netaji’s formation of the Azad Hind Fauj and his active role in the freedom struggle were pivotal in challenging the British rule.

Netaji’s educational journey, which included stints at Ravensa College, Presidency College, and Cambridge University, was highlighted by Dubey. This academic background laid the foundation for Netaji’s deep-seated love for his country and his eventual role as an ICS officer.

Netaji’s famous call to action, "You give me blood, and I will give you freedom," was remembered, underscoring his commitment to India’s liberation. This slogan remains a testament to his leadership and his relentless fight against colonial rule.

The day’s events concluded with a solemn tribute at the Mango Garden Ground in Sakchi. Here, a delegation of East Singhbhum District Congress Committee leaders, under Dubey’s leadership, garlanded and offered flowers at Netaji’s statue, paying homage to his enduring legacy.

Earlier, Congress leaders and members gathered at the Congress Office Tilak Library in Bistupur. They paid their respects to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose by offering flowers on his portrait, a gesture symbolizing reverence and remembrance of his sacrifices for India’s freedom.
