Hundreds Join Party As Assembly Elections Approach
State leaders criticize BJP, urge strengthening of Congress ideology in Jharkhand.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhand State Youth Congress recently organized a highly successful membership drive in Gwala Basti, located in the Jamshedpur East Assembly constituency. The event saw an impressive turnout, with hundreds of enthusiastic individuals joining as new members.
"Our goal is to connect people with the Congress ideology in order to prevent the BJP from gaining power," said Satyam Singh, Senior Vice President of Jharkhand State Youth Congress.
Prince Singh, who is the Secretary of the Jharkhand State Congress Committee, was present at the event as the chief guest.
"The BJP government is just using slogans, like ‘smart city’, to deceive people," criticized Prince Singh in his address.
Neeraj Singh, the President of East Singhbhum Youth Congress, warmly greeted and welcomed new members by presenting them with garlands.
The drive witnessed the participation of notable young individuals such as Bittu Kumar Yadav and Mukesh Kumar joining the party.
"We are here to provide support to all new members and we strongly encourage addressing regional issues in a timely manner," said Satyam Singh.
This membership drive signifies an increase in political activities leading up to the upcoming Assembly elections.
The event showcased Congress’s dedication to connecting with the young people of Jharkhand and building a stronger support system.
Many local party workers and leaders attended, demonstrating the widespread support for the initiative.
