Devotees Throng Hindustan Mitra Mandal’s Cultural Celebration

JAMSHEDPUR – A blend of devotion and cultural enthusiasm marked the Shravan Mahotsav-2026 organised at the Hindustan Mitra Mandal club premises. Thousands of devotees turned up to take part in the celebrations held in honour of the holy month of Sawan.
The entire venue had been decorated elaborately, giving it the look of a grand fair reminiscent of Durga Puja festivities. Meanwhile, the atmosphere remained charged with devotional songs and cultural performances through the event.
Raghubar Das, former chief minister of Jharkhand, attended the programme as chief guest and formally inaugurated the festival by lighting a ceremonial lamp. Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Das Sahu was present as the special guest for the occasion.
She joined women attendees in enjoying the Sawan songs and cultural presentations staged during the event. Besides watching the performances, she commended the organisers for putting together the celebration.
Several other dignitaries were also present at the mahotsav, including former police association general secretary Chandragupta Singh, Dinesh Kumar, Babua Singh, Bhupendra Singh, Ashish Rai and Kamlesh Singh. In addition, members of Brahmarshi Vikas Manch, including Deepu Singh, Anil Thakur, Rajkishore Singh, Satendra Kumar, Jaikumar, Pawan Singh, Vijay Kumar and Satish Kumar, attended the function.
The organising body extended a warm welcome to all guests and devotees during the event. On the other hand, senior patrons of the club, including Awadhesh Chaudhary, Akhilesh Kumar Chaudhary, Dinesh Jha, Dharnidhar Sharma, Binda Prasad and Nandi Singh, played a key role in making the event successful.
Officials of the organisation thanked all the devotees, women and families who took part, saying their cooperation and participation had made the Shravan Mahotsav a grand success. They further appealed for continued support for similar social and cultural programmes in the future.
The Bistupur and adjoining areas of Jamshedpur regularly host such religious and cultural gatherings during the Sawan month, drawing large crowds of devotees each year. Cultural events of this scale, involving local clubs and community organisations, have increasingly become a fixture of the city’s festive calendar, alongside similar religious gatherings, community celebrations, seasonal fairs and temple festivals held across the city.
