Jharkhand Ramps Up Cold Wave Relief Measures

District Administration Mobilizes to Shield Residents from Cold Wave

In response to the severe cold wave in Jharkhand, the district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, has implemented comprehensive measures to protect residents.

JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri has mandated the relocation of individuals sleeping outdoors to night shelters as part of the cold wave relief efforts.

Officials are tasked with ensuring the smooth functioning of these shelters, providing warmth and safety to the vulnerable.

Arrangements for bonfires at key intersections are a priority, aimed at offering respite from the biting cold for those in need.

Night shelters and shelter homes have been equipped with essential amenities like blankets and food to combat the cold.

Bonfires, a crucial aspect of these relief measures, have been set up at intersections, public places, and near the railway station.

The Deputy Commissioner has instructed officials to distribute blankets to the poor and destitute, ensuring no one is left unprotected in the cold.

Following the drop in temperatures and the onset of a cold wave, the district administration has intensified its efforts to safeguard the public.

Officials are also directed to conduct inspections, ensuring no one is forced to sleep in the open during this challenging period.

Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri’s directives include the arrangement of bonfires in public areas and around the railway station.

These efforts reflect the administration’s commitment to protecting its citizens from the harsh winter conditions.
