BJP Leader Seeks Change in Jamshedpur Water Supply Timing
Pawan Agrawal Advocates for Citizen-Convenient Water Schedule in Jamshedpur
Senior BJP leader Pawan Agrawal requests a revision in water supply timings in Jamshedpur lease areas, citing citizen inconvenience in early hours.
JAMSHEDPUR – Pawan Agrawal, a prominent BJP leader and former Chief Minister Raghubar Das’ legislative representative, has called for changes in the water supply schedule in Jamshedpur’s lease areas.
In a letter to Tata Steel UISL’s Senior GM, Capt Dhananjay Mishra, Agrawal outlined the current water supply timings in areas like Bhalubasa, Bhuinadih, Sitaramdera, and Golmuri.
He highlighted that the water is currently supplied at either 3 AM or 4 AM for just two hours, a schedule causing significant inconvenience to residents.
Agrawal proposed rescheduling the water supply to a more convenient window between 6 AM and 8 AM.
His concern is particularly for the elderly and vulnerable citizens, who struggle with waking up in the early, cold hours to collect water or operate water motors.
Agrawal’s letter vividly describes the hardships faced by senior citizens living alone during these early morning hours.
He noted that water supply timings are often adjusted in the summer, suggesting that similar flexibility should be applied to address current issues.
Urging immediate action, Agrawal called for timely communication of any schedule changes through public announcements or newspaper notifications.
The request, also informed to Sanjeev Jha, Head of Tata Steel UISL Water Department, reflects a growing need to align public utilities with the convenience and wellbeing of citizens in Jamshedpur.
