In a bold highway robbery, criminals seize Rs 18 lakh from vegetable traders on a Kolkata-Ranchi bus, executing a meticulously planned heist.

RANCHI – After receiving the robbery report, Dasham police station, along with Bundu station officials, launched a manhunt for the culprits.

The incident occurred on the Ranchi Tata Highway in Dasham Fall police station’s jurisdiction.

The traders, returning from Kolkata with substantial cash earnings, were the robbers’ targets.

Initial reports suggested a Rs 30 lakh heist, but authorities have confirmed a Rs 18 lakh loss.

The robbery was executed with precision, indicating the criminals’ thorough reconnaissance of the traders’ activities.

These perpetrators had blended in as passengers before revealing their true intent.

In the early hours of Tuesday, as the Shivam bus neared Navadih, the criminals, armed and prepared, took control.

Fleeing on foot post-robbery, the criminals left behind a scene of panic and chaos.

The affected traders reported carrying between Rs 30 to 40 lakh, but only Rs 18 lakh was confirmed stolen.

This audacious crime took place on a Shivam bus traveling from Kolkata to Ranchi.
