RANCHI – Ghulam Ahmed Mir, the newly appointed Jharkhand Congress in-charge, met Chief Minister Hemant Soren in a significant political development.
This key meeting, held at the Chief Minister’s residential office, was Mir’s first interaction with CM Soren since his appointment.
The discussions focused on the current political climate in Jharkhand and matters of public interest.
State Congress President Rajesh Thakur, along with Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam and Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh, were also in attendance.
In a separate gathering at Sangam Garden, Morabadi, Jharkhand Congress leaders convened to discuss strategies for making Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra successful in the state.
Mir is dedicated to strengthening the party’s organizational framework in Jharkhand through ongoing meetings and planning.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, spanning 6700 kilometers across 17 states, including 13 districts in Jharkhand, aims to unite the country and advocate for the rights of the oppressed.
Mir detailed plans for the Yatra’s Jharkhand leg, emphasizing its significance in the national context.
State Congress leaders, including President Thakur, outlined specific responsibilities for party workers at all levels, from panchayat to booth, to ensure the Yatra’s historic impact in Jharkhand.
The meeting also saw discussions on promoting the Nyay Yatra through various media channels and inviting renowned personalities to join the movement.
Alamgir Alam, Congress Legislature Party leader, stressed Jharkhand’s pivotal role in making the Yatra a landmark event.
