Jamshedpur MP raises issues of social exclusion in Chhota Asti village with District Magistrate.
JAMSHEDPUR – Honorable MP Shri Bidyut Baran Mahato took a significant step in advocating for the villagers of Chhota Asti in Dumaria by meeting with District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri.
Mahato highlighted the concerning issue of 12 families being ostracized from social and religious functions by the village head.
Victimized families, accompanying the MP, voiced their grievances, including their children’s exclusion from education and sports.
District Magistrate Bhajantri, acknowledging the gravity of the situation, called for immediate action to remedy these injustices.
He instructed the Block Development Officer to conduct a thorough investigation into these allegations.
Bhajantri emphasized the need to educate villagers about the illegality of such actions and prepared to enforce rules if necessary.
Additionally, he gathered information on the villagers’ access to Ayushman Cards, Sarvajan Pension, and toilet facilities, encouraging the adoption of these amenities.
This meeting marks a critical step towards resolving the social issues in Chhota Asti and promoting legal and social awareness in the community.
