Puducherry Chief Minister Honors World Fitness Federation President

Anshu Sarkar, President of World Fitness Federation of Yogasana Sports India, receives honor at International Yoga Competition in Puducherry, boosting yoga’s profile.

JAMSHEDPUR – Yogishreshtha Anshu Sarkar, the esteemed President of World Fitness Federation of Yogasana Sports India, was recently felicitated by Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangaswamy.

The ceremony was part of the 29th International Yogasana Festival, held from January 4th to 7th, 2024.

Organized by the Tourism Department of the Puducherry Government, this event witnessed a global gathering of yoga enthusiasts.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister Rangaswamy presented Sarkar with a memento and citation.

He expressed his admiration for Sarkar’s achievements and urged him to continue promoting yoga nationwide.

Anshu Sarkar, noted for his role as a thinker in the yoga community, played a pivotal role in the competition.

The festival’s closing ceremony was graced by the Chief Minister, who extended his personal congratulations to Sarkar.

The inauguration saw the presence of Puducherry Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and key figures like K Muraleedharan and Shiva Govind from the Tourism Department.

Anshu Sarkar’s contributions to yoga have been recognized both in India and internationally, earning him numerous accolades.

His latest honor has drawn accolades from Federation officials, yoga affiliates, and local dignitaries.

This recognition highlights Sarkar’s influential role in the yoga community and his efforts in spreading the ancient practice.
