Harish Singh Arrested, Sent to Jail; Jamshedpur Police Crackdown

Harish Singh, a key member of gangster Akhilesh Singh’s gang, was arrested in Rajgir and is now in police custody.

JAMSHEDPUR – Harish Singh, identified as the main shooter for gangster Akhilesh Singh, was arrested by the Jamshedpur police in Rajgir and has been sent to jail.

SSP Kishore Kaushal revealed that Singh, along with his associates, had been threatening local traders and businessmen, demanding extortion through phone calls and social media.

The police formed a team to apprehend Singh following reports of potential criminal activities in the city.

Singh, facing charges in various crimes including murder, extortion, robbery, and theft, has been involved in 30 criminal cases across several border districts.

Despite his attempts to evade arrest by using a fake Aadhaar card and mobile SIM, the police successfully captured him.

The police recovered two fake Aadhaar cards, fake SIMs, and four smart mobiles from Singh, all of which have been confiscated.

A reward of Rs 40,000 had been declared for information leading to Harish Singh’s arrest, reflecting his notoriety and the threat he posed to public safety.

This arrest marks a significant achievement for the Jamshedpur police in their ongoing efforts to combat organized crime and ensure the safety of the city’s residents.
