Doctor’s Kidnapping Thwarted in Jamshedpur, Two Arrested

In a dramatic turn of events, Jamshedpur police busted a kidnapping plot, nabbing two armed criminals targeting a local doctor for ransom.

JAMSHEDPUR – Police in Jamshedpur successfully arrested two persons on the charges of making a bid to kidnap Dr. R Pradhan, a renowned city doctor.

The incident occurred near Golmuri Chowk in the Golmuri police station area.

Culprits Ashok Singh and Ravi Shankar Singh, cousins and natives of Begusarai, were apprehended by locals as they tried to abduct Dr. Pradhan.

The duo’s plan was disrupted when Dr. Pradhan raised an alarm, drawing the attention of bystanders who detained the perpetrators until police arrived.

During the subsequent police investigation, it was revealed that the criminals had previously been incarcerated for separate offenses.

Ashok Singh was previously jailed for illegal liquor sales, while Ravi Shankar Singh had a history of robbery.

Both now face judicial custody following this latest crime.

The criminals had meticulously researched Dr. Pradhan using Google, intending to demand a substantial ransom.

Their reconnaissance included several days of surveillance before the foiled kidnapping attempt.

Police recovered a homemade pistol and two live bullets from the arrested individuals.

District SSP Kishore Kaushal disclosed these details, highlighting the swift response of local residents and police in preventing the crime.
