Jamshedpur Schools Finalize Nursery, LKG Admissions Plan with Lottery System
Private Schools in Jamshedpur to Conduct Lotteries, Ensure Fair Admission Process
Jamshedpur’s private schools are set to conclude nursery and LKG admissions through a transparent lottery system, with results due on January 20, 2024.
JAMSHEDPUR – Private schools in Jamshedpur are wrapping up their nursery and LKG admission processes.
A lottery system, scheduled between January 5 and January 19, will finalize admissions.
Each school has autonomously decided the specifics of their lottery method, as informed to the District Education Department.
Observers, appointed by the District Education Department, will monitor these lotteries for fairness.
So far, only four schools have communicated their lottery details to the department.
The Jamshedpur Unaided Private School Association has announced that results will be released on January 20, both online and offline.
Key schools like Tagore Academy, KPS NML, ADL Sunshine English School Kadma, and DBMS English School have scheduled their lotteries.
District Education Superintendent Nishu Kumari emphasized the transparency of the process, with videography and parental presence during lotteries.
This decision follows previous allegations of lottery manipulation.
Additionally, schools are investigating fake certificates submitted during admissions.
The scrutiny involves verifying documents like Aadhar cards and birth certificates.
Any admission based on falsified documents will be revoked.
To detect certificate discrepancies, some schools are employing software to cross-reference previous admission data.
The RTE cell will be involved in verifying suspicious certificates, ensuring the authenticity of admitted students’ ages and details.
