In Jamshedpur, the Chetna March commemorating the Sahibzadas on Veer Bal Diwas united communities in a display of cultural heritage and unity.
JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur witnessed a moving Chetna March to honor the four Sahibzadas on Veer Bal Diwas, showcasing community unity and cultural heritage.
Led by Jugsalai Station Road Gurdwara Sahib, the march exemplified the city’s reverence for the sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s family.
Local leaders Mahendra Pal Singh Bhatia and Bhagwan Singh attended the event, highlighting its significance within the community.
The procession, featuring young Gatka performers, captivated onlookers with its vibrant display of Sikh martial arts.
Inderjit Kaur and the women of Stree Satsang Sabha led the march through Jugsalai, embodying the spirit of community leadership and participation.
Gurucharan Singh Jugnu and youth played pivotal roles in spearheading this significant event.
Jaswinder Singh Romi, as the event’s coordinator, ensured a seamless execution with the support of community leaders and the organizing committee.
The march culminated in the traditional Guru’s Langar at Jugsalai Gurdwara Sahib, reinforcing the spirit of community and togetherness.
Veer Bal Diwas, marked from December 21 to 27, commemorates the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s family, with December 26 declared as a government holiday in schools by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
This declaration, made on January 9, 2022, during Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Prakash Parv, has transformed Veer Bal Diwas into an annual celebration of bravery and sacrifice.
