Jharkhand Government Transfers 5 DSPs, Streamlines Police Administration
Jharkhand’s latest administrative move sees five Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) transferred. The Home Department issued the order on December 26, 2023, aiming for efficient police administration.
RANCHI – In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Jharkhand government has realigned its police administration by transferring five Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) rank officers.
The officers, who were transferred, have been given new assignments in various departments, reflecting the state’s commitment to maintaining a robust and responsive law enforcement system.
Om Prakash, formerly of IRB-10, Palamu, has been assigned as DSP, JHASU, in Ranchi, indicating a strategic move in the police department’s upper echelons.
Meanwhile, Mandru Oraon, previously at IRD-04, Latehar, will now serve as DSP, Special Branch, Ranchi, showcasing the government’s focus on specialized branches.
In similar strategic postings, Birendra Bada from IRB-03, Chatra, has been appointed as DSP, Special Branch, Ranchi.
Remejigas Toppo, previously with IRB-03, Chatra, joins the Special Branch in Ranchi as DSP, further strengthening this key department.
Deepak Kumar, who was serving in Lesliganj, Palamu, has been appointed as DSP, Crime Investigation Department, in Ranchi.
The order, specifying these changes, was released by the Home Department and emphasizes that those officers who have been replaced without a subsequent posting are required to report to the Police Headquarters in Ranchi.
This reshuffle is part of the Jharkhand government’s ongoing efforts to streamline and strengthen its police force for better governance and law enforcement.
