54-Year-Old Tata Steel Employee Found Dead After Hanging at Home

In a tragic incident, a 54-year-old Tata Steel worker was found dead in his Jamshedpur home, leaving the community in shock and grief.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Navendu Pal, a 54-year-old resident of College Road, Jamshedpur, under Parsudih police station’s jurisdiction, tragically ended his life by hanging.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening in his home, where he was discovered in a state of distress.

Pal, an employee of Tata Steel, was known to have been on leave for the past four days and was due to return to work on Monday.

On the ill-fated Saturday, family members became concerned when Pal did not appear downstairs by 4 pm, prompting them to check the first floor.

They found him lying on the floor, with a broken noose around his neck, indicating that the noose had given way after he had hung himself.

In a desperate attempt to save him, the family rushed Pal to Tata Main Hospital (TMH).

However, despite their efforts, TMH medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the need for increased mental health support and awareness.
