‘Mathematics Exhibition and Children’s Fair’ Celebrates Ramanujan’s Legacy in Jamshedpur

Srinivasa Ramanujan’s 136th Birth Anniversary Honored with a Unique Exhibition

JAMSHEDPUR – Commemorating the 136th anniversary of the renowned Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, Pragati Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Birsanagar, hosted a ‘Mathematics Exhibition and Children’s Fair’.

The event, held on December 22, 2023, saw notable personalities in attendance.

Chief Guest Jitendra Kumar Pandey, an award-winning educator, inaugurated the program alongside school officials including President Bhola Mandal, Secretary Arvind Pandey, Patron Manoj Lakra, and Principal Suresh Kumar Rai.

Parent representatives Bharti Sharma, Mamta Srivastava, and committee member Rishikant Prasad participated in the lamp lighting ceremony.

The Principal introduced the distinguished guests.

Acharya Arun ji highlighted the purpose of the event and Ramanujan’s life and contributions.

School students presented a welcome song and dance.

The exhibition showcased more than 20 intricate and creative mathematical models by students from class Arun to tenth.

Jitendra Kumar Pandey, the chief guest, praised the students’ efforts and emphasized the importance of discipline in problem-solving, echoing Ramanujan’s mathematical ethos.

Parents were invited to view the exhibition, which received widespread appreciation.

The Children’s Fair featured over 40 food stalls managed by students, offering a variety of culinary delights.

Shiv Shankar Acharya ji delivered the vote of thanks.

The event’s success was attributed to the collaborative efforts of the school’s teachers and staff.
