ED Ranchi Zone’s Kapil Raj Gets Tenure Extension

The Enforcement Directorate extends Kapil Raj’s tenure as Additional Director of Ranchi Zone until December 12, 2024, acknowledging his significant role in high-profile cases.

RANCHI – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has recently announced the extension of Kapil Raj’s tenure as the Additional Director of its Ranchi Zone.

This extension, effective until December 12, 2024, was sanctioned by the Ministry of Finance Department of Revenue ED Section.

Kapil Raj has been at the forefront of several major investigations in Jharkhand, notably the illegal mining scam, land scam, and MLA cash scandal.

His pivotal role in these high-profile cases has been recognized through this tenure extension.

Kapil Raj’s promotion to the position of Additional Director, along with Dr. Vidyut Vikas and Vinod Sharma, was initially made on September 14, 2023.

The decision to prolong Raj’s tenure underscores the trust and confidence in his abilities to effectively lead and progress the investigations under the ED’s purview in the Ranchi Zone.

This move reflects the Enforcement Directorate’s commitment to ensuring continuity and efficiency in handling sensitive and significant cases within the region.
