Ranchi police arrest 8, including victim’s family, in the Sanjay Pahan murder case, uncovering a family-led conspiracy.
RANCHI – In a major breakthrough in the Sanjay Pahan murder case, Ranchi police have arrested eight suspects, including Pahan’s wife and brother-in-law.
The arrests occurred in the Sadar police station area, following the discovery of Pahan’s body in Booti Basti.
Those apprehended include Salo Devi, Ashish Nepali, Manvel Khalkho, Kamru Nag, Suraj Kumar Thakur, Azhar Ansari, Dhaneshwar Bhagat, and Dawood Ekka.
In the operation, the police seized key evidence like a country-made pistol, live bullets, a hammer, and other items.
Investigations revealed a family dispute involving Pahan’s alleged affair as the motive for the murder.
The conspiracy, led by family members, ended tragically with Pahan being shot.
Pahan’s body, found in his courtyard on November 30, showed signs of sharp weapon injuries before the fatal gunshot.
Police focused on those close to Pahan, using call dump analysis to track mobile activity on the night of the murder.
This meticulous approach led to the unraveling of the family’s involvement in the crime.
