Jamshedpur Court Convicts Man in 2016 Family Murder
Basco Tudu found guilty in quadruple homicide case from Potka, sentencing set for April.
Basco Tudu has been convicted for the 2016 murder of four family members in Potka, with sentencing due on April 26.
JAMSHEDPUR – Basco Tudu has been found guilty of murdering four members of the Tudu family in 2016, with sentencing scheduled for April 26.
The guilty verdict was delivered by the court of ADJ-2 Abhash Verma for the murders that occurred over eight years ago.
Basco Tudu, who has been in custody since the incident, attended the trial via video link from Ghaghidih Central Jail.
During the trial, the prosecution presented the murder weapon, detailed post-mortem reports, and testimonies from 13 witnesses, including the investigating officer.
Basco Tudu was convicted for the axe murder of Thapa Tudu outside his home and the subsequent killings of Malti, Sonia, and Ramesh Tudu using a stick.
Mohan Tudu, who survived the attack, was instrumental in the arrest of Basco Tudu after filing a named FIR at the local police station.
