Hemant Soren Unveils Major Initiatives for Villages, Targets Rural Development

Ranchi: Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Hemant Soren emphasizes a shift in governance focus to villages, announcing multiple development schemes and infrastructure projects, including a significant investment in rural roads and initiatives for higher education.

This initiative promises up to Rs 15 lakh in financial assistance to students for pursuing higher education, aiming to reduce dependence on banks.

Soren declared the expansion of the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, now encompassing all daughters in a family, to support their continued education.

The Chief Minister interacted with beneficiaries at a camp in Kursi Panchayat, Chaibasa Sadar, showcasing his government’s direct engagement with citizens.

Assets worth Rs 116 crore 42 lakh were distributed among 332 beneficiaries during this event.

In a significant infrastructure push, Soren inaugurated 94 schemes worth Rs 85 crore 64 lakh and laid the foundation for 137 projects valued at Rs 422 crore 11 lakh.
