Jharkhand Minister Basant Soren Inaugurates Multiple Development Schemes in Dumka

Minister Participates in Asset Distribution and Lays Foundation Stones for 187 Projects

Basant Soren, the Minister of Jharkhand’s road construction department and MLA, participated in a significant asset distribution event in Dumka, marking the commencement of numerous developmental projects.

DUMKA – Jharkhand’s Minister for road construction and MLA, Basant Soren, took part in a major asset distribution program in Dumka.

During the event, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 187 schemes valued at Rs 2225.12 crore.

He also provided appointment letters to 102 youths under the MNREGA scheme and distributed assets through various programs, including the Credit Linkage, Abua Housing Scheme, and Chief Minister Gram Gaadi Scheme.

Basant Soren inaugurated the Dumka bypass road at Phulo Jhano Chowk, a project initially planned to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Champai Soren, who could not attend due to a schedule change.

Speaking at the event, Basant Soren emphasized the government’s commitment to improving road infrastructure, irrigation, and health facilities to benefit the common people.

He stated, "The government is running various schemes for roads, irrigation of fields, and health facilities for better transportation and living standards. We are making and implementing schemes to meet the aspirations of the people."

He highlighted the Abua Housing Scheme, aimed at providing homes to the homeless, and ongoing irrigation projects to ensure water supply to every field.

Soren also mentioned the continuous efforts to improve road connectivity and the establishment of a medical college to enhance healthcare services in Dumka district.

"The pace at which the government is working for development is evident on the ground," Soren added, underscoring the visible progress in various sectors.

The event demonstrated the government’s active role in implementing developmental initiatives to uplift the living standards of the people in Dumka.
