JPSC Civil Services Exam Rules Revised

Cabinet Approves New Age and Exam Pattern for JPSC Civil Services

Jharkhand Cabinet approves significant changes to the Civil Services Examination Rules for JPSC.

RANCHI – The Jharkhand Cabinet has endorsed vital amendments to the Civil Services Examination rules, a move that sets the stage for the upcoming 11th Civil Services Examination by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC).

These revisions, stemming from a committee led by L Khyangte, mark a notable shift in the 2021 Civil Services Examination Rules.

Under the new rules, aspiring candidates must be between 21 and 35 years old as of August 1st in the year of advertisement.

This age criteria adjustment clarifies the eligibility framework for applicants.

Additionally, the examination pattern has undergone a significant change.

In the main written exam, candidates are required to only qualify in Paper One, which tests language proficiency in General Hindi and General English.

Importantly, the scores from this paper will not contribute to the final merit list.

This modification is designed to streamline the evaluation process and shift the focus to other crucial aspects of the exam.

With these updates, the 11th JPSC Civil Services Examination is now poised to move forward under these new guidelines, providing clarity to candidates regarding age eligibility and exam structure.
