Jharkhand Academic Council approves the shift from OMR sheets to answer sheets for Matriculation and Intermediate exams.

RANCHI – The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has made a significant change in the examination process for Matriculation and Intermediate levels.

Under the leadership of JAC President Dr. Anil Kumar Mahato, the board meeting on Friday approved the transition from OMR sheets to traditional answer sheets.

This decision marks a departure from the previous method where the exams for the 40-mark section in both levels were conducted on OMR sheets.

With the new format, examinations will solely rely on answer sheets, eliminating the use of separate OMR sheets and answer books.

In a parallel move, JAC has synchronized the timings for both Matriculation and Intermediate exams.

Students will now benefit from an additional 15 minutes reading time, allowing them to thoroughly understand the questions before beginning their responses.

This adjustment aims to enhance the exam experience for students, ensuring they have ample time to comprehend and answer the questions effectively.
