ED Summons Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren Again
Hemant Soren Faces Sixth ED Notice Amid Legal Struggle
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren receives a sixth call from the Enforcement Directorate, intensifying the legal tussle.
RANCHI – Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has once again been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
This marks the sixth such notice sent to the JMM working president since August.
Soren and JMM leaders have previously disregardED five ED summons.
The latest ED notice requires Soren to appear for questioning, raising widespread speculation.
Previously, Soren sought legal reprieve from the Jharkhand High Court and Supreme Court against ED’s actions.
Despite his efforts, neither court provided Soren relief from the ED’s persistent notices.
Soren had also threatened legal action against the ED, but to no avail.
The ED’s rigorous approach continues, undeterred by Soren’s legal attempts to halt the summons.
In contrast to earlier notices, Soren has been given only a day’s notice this time, instead of the usual week.
The political and legal implications of this development are closely watched by observers and Soren’s supporters.
