Giridih Cybercrime Sweep Nets 12 Offenders and Seizes Assets

In a major operation against cybercrime, the Giridih police have arrested twelve individuals, including key suspect Deepak Verma from the UP region of Gonda.

GIRIDIH – Giridih police have intensified efforts against cybercrime.

Twelve offenders, including key suspect Deepak Verma, have been apprehended.

Seized items include 19 cell phones, 33 SIM cards, five motorcycles, and cash.

SP Deepak Kumar Sharma and DSP Sandeep Suman disclosed the operation details.

Deepak Verma, from UP’s Gonda region, was notably involved in the crimes.

Verma was lured into cybercrime by his cousin Sachchidanand Kumar from Deoghar.

The criminals targeted bank account holders with various schemes.

Other arrested criminals include Pawan Rana, Shamsad Ansari, and Sajad Ansari.

The group used sophisticated methods to steal from bank accounts.

A total of 85 offenders have been arrested in the district in related crackdowns.
