RANCHI – In a significant disciplinary action, SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha of Ranchi has suspended nine policemen of the Ranchi District Force following their involvement in a gambling incident.
The incident, which occurred late last Saturday night in the Ranchi Police Lines, involved a total of 20 people, including 14 policemen.
This move by the SSP is a clear demonstration of the department’s zero-tolerance policy towards such activities within the force.
The remaining five policemen involved are from the Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP).
The Commandant of JAP has been tasked with taking appropriate action against these individuals.
