Swadeshi Khadi Mahotsav in Jamshedpur showcases India’s rich textile heritage, led by MLA Saryu Roy.
Jamshedpur – The Swadeshi Khadi Mahotsav, a notable exhibition and sale event of Khadi and woolen clothes, has been inaugurated by the honorable MLA of East Jamshedpur and former Jharkhand minister, Shri Saryu Roy.
Held at the Ganesh Puja ground in Kadma, this event marks a significant effort to support and promote the skilled artisans of the Khadi Village Industry.
Shri Saryu Roy, attending as the chief guest, stressed the importance of such exhibitions in providing a vital platform for showcasing and selling the unique products crafted by these artisans.
This initiative not only promotes sales but also fuels employment opportunities, benefiting countless families both directly and indirectly.
Mr. Anurag Mishra, the organizer of the fair, elaborated on the diverse range of products available.
The exhibition features an array of textiles from across India, including Bhagalpuri silk, Kashmiri and Assam silk sarees, Banarasi silk, Pochampalli Patola sarees, and Lucknow Chikan work.
Further enriching the selection are Chanderi suits from Madhya Pradesh, Kosa silk material from Chhattisgarh, handicraft bags from Gujarat, and jute bags from West Bengal.
More than 105 stalls showcase these products, promising high quality at competitive prices.
The exhibition, running daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, offers a unique opportunity for the public to engage with India’s rich textile heritage and support the skilled craftsmanship of local artisans.
This event serves not just as a commercial platform, but also as a cultural hub celebrating the diverse artisanal talent of India.
