90 Years of Utkal Association Marked with Grand Celebrations and Honors

The Utkal Association commemorated its 90th anniversary with a gala event, honoring notable contributors and showcasing local talent.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Utkal Association marked its 90th year with a culturally vibrant event on November 24, 2023, in Jamshedpur. Dr. Manoj Kumar Mahanta, a distinguished scientist at NML Jamshedpur, and renowned Odia writer Dr. Ravindra Kumar Bihari graced the event as chief guests.

Manoranjan Das, a trustee of the Utkal Organization, alongside Colonel Dr. Seemanchal Rawal, Chief SK Behera, President Dr. Shridhar Pradhan, and General Secretary Tarun Mohanty, were in attendance. They reminisced about the organization’s rich 90-year history.

Several members, including Tarachand Patnaik, Indira Satpati, Kashinath Panda, Shivlal Sagar, Jugal Kishore Mohanty, Ashok Rai, and Hirendra Singh Dev, were honored for their significant contributions to Utkal.

The event was further enlivened by performances from local musicians and actors, bringing together the community in a festive atmosphere.

Senior Vice President Dr. Sanjay Patra, Vice President Badal Bhuyan, Joint Secretary Vibhuti Bhushan Mohanty, Sushmita Patra, Treasurer Manish Das, Manoranjan Gaur, Kishore Nayak, and Govind Chandra Swain actively participated in the celebrations.

One of the highlights was a collective rendition of “Bande Utkal Janani,” along with other captivating performances, symbolizing the unity and cultural richness of the community.

The 90th anniversary of the Utkal Association stood as a testament to the organization’s enduring legacy and its role in fostering cultural bonds and community spirit.
