Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Saturday sortie in the indigenous Tejas fighter jet marks a historic moment, being the first Indian Prime Minister to fly in a fighter aircraft.

DESK – Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertook a significant sortie in the indigenous ‘Tejas’ fighter jet, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to fly in a fighter aircraft.

This landmark event occurred at the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Bengaluru.

PM Modi described the experience aboard the Tejas as “incredibly enriching,” highlighting a boost in confidence in India’s indigenous capabilities.

He expressed a renewed sense of pride and optimism in the national potential following the sortie.

The Prime Minister shared his thoughts on the platform X, previously known as Twitter, following his flight in the Tejas.

PM Modi’s visit to Bengaluru included a review of HAL’s manufacturing facilities, where he was greeted by HAL officials and the Karnataka police chief.

Following his visit to Bengaluru, PM Modi is scheduled to travel to Telangana for campaigning in the upcoming Assembly election on November 30.
