Police Detain and Release Two; Hunt for Accused in Adityapur Railway Colony Murder
Youth murdered in Railway Colony, Jamshedpur; police identify suspect.
ADITYAPUR – A gruesome murder case in the Railway Colony in front of Bauri Basti, within the RIT police station area of Jamshedpur, is nearing resolution.
An unidentified youth was found murdered, his throat slit with a sharp knife.
In the course of the investigation, the police detained two youths for questioning but later released them on a PR bond.
The prime suspect, identified as Trishul, a resident of Bauri Basti and reportedly addicted to brown sugar, is currently on the run.
According to police sources, Trishul committed the crime and then attempted to cover his tracks.
He disposed of the victim’s body in the bushes behind a quarter and returned to Bauri Basti to burn his clothes.
The police have since recovered the ashes of these burnt clothes from his residence.
Trishul’s whereabouts remain unknown, and the police are actively searching for him.
The motive behind the murder seems to be rooted in a prior acquaintance and conflict between the victim and the accused.
It is believed that the victim, who possibly resided in Gamhariya, was lured by Trishul on the night of the incident, intoxicated with brown sugar and liquor, and then murdered.
The victim’s identity remains unconfirmed at this stage.
This case has highlighted the challenges faced in dealing with drug-related crimes and the urgency with which the local police are working to apprehend the accused.
The investigation continues as authorities strive to provide justice and closure in this tragic incident.
