IED Blast in Jharkhand During Anti-Naxal Op Injures CRPF Personnel
A tragic IED explosion in Jharkhand’s Goilkera claims the life of a CRPF jawan and leaves two critically injured.
CHAIBASA – A devastating IED blast in Goilkera, West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, has resulted in the martyrdom of CRPF jawan Santosh Oraon and critically injured two others, including a CRPF officer.
The incident occurred on Friday in Hathibera, near the Goilkera police station area, during a Naxal operation in the forest.
Santosh Oraon, the martyred jawan, hailed from Gumla and is survived by his wife Phoolsundari Devi and two young children, Siddharth Bhagat (8 years) and Aditya Bhagat (5 years).
The community is in mourning, with many gathering at Oraon’s home to offer their condolences.
CRPF officer Ejeto Tine and soldier Jayanta Nath, also injured in the blast, are in critical condition.
Tine has been airlifted to Ranchi for advanced treatment.
The Superintendent of Police of West Singhbhum confirmed the details of this tragic incident.
