Congress celebrates 136th foundation day
Banna Gupta and Badal Patralekh attend programme at Tilak Pustakalaya
Jamshedpur: A programme was organised on the 136th Foundation Day of Congress party on Monday at Tilak Pustakalaya Congress Bhavan. Two ministers of Jharkhand, Banna Gupta and Badal Patralekh, attended the programme. Party’s flag was also unfurled on the occasion.
56 senior Congress workers were also felicitated on the occasion. On the other hand 2 minuetes’ silence was also observed to pay homage to the farmers who have lost their lives during the ongoing agitation in Delhi.
Later, the district president of the party Vijay Khan said that the party would celebrate Congress festival on January 26 and August 15 every year in which senior Congressmen would be felicitated
He said that the contribution of the party cannot be forgotten in the freedom movement.
Mr. Khan also attacked the union government and said that the government is being run at the behest of Ambani and Adani.
He said that more than 35 farmers have lost their lives, yet the union government is not withdrawing the farm bills.
He said that if needed, Congress workers from the city would go to Delhi to support the farmers.
