Tatanagar, Badampahar Railway Stations to Undergo Major Overhaul

SE Railway GM Inspects Tatanagar; Plans for Enhanced Safety and Facilities Unveiled

SE Railway’s General Manager, Anil Kumar Mishra, inspected the Tatanagar-Badampahar rail section, identifying key areas for development. Commendations were presented to exemplary RPF constables, and significant station upgrades were announced, aligning with the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

JAMSHEDPUR – Anil Kumar Mishra, GM of South Eastern Railway, inspected the Badampahar-Bahalda-Tata section on Friday.

Several flaws were identified during this inspection, and immediate corrective actions were instructed.

Mishra arrived at Tatanagar on Saturday morning aboard a special train from Shalimar.

He conducted a comprehensive review of the development works on the Badampahar-Tata rail route.

Two women constables from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) were honored for their exceptional service at platform number two.

Mishra announced plans to develop the stations of President Draupadi Murmu’s village Rairangpur and Badampahar under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

The Railways have initiated vigorous work in Badampahar, aiming to transform these stations within a year.

He noted that passenger facilities at these stations were inspected, and instructions were issued to address any deficiencies.

The introduction of a new crossing station and an additional loop line on this route was also under inspection.

Mishra confirmed that three new trains in the Tata-Badampahar section would commence operations from November 21.

He emphasized the high priority given to safety in South Eastern Railway, adhering to a policy of zero tolerance.

Mishra stated that strict action, including expulsion, is the norm against any negligent employees.

Addressing the water logging issue in the Jugsalai underpass, he urged state government cooperation, although current issues have been rectified.

Regarding women’s toilet facilities at Tatanagar station, Mishra revealed renovation plans with an estimated budget of Rs 400 crore.

He clarified that no temporary measures are being undertaken, as comprehensive improvements are scheduled.

The presence of all the Principal Chief Officers of the Zone, including Chakradharpur’s DRM AJ Rathod and senior department officers, was noted.
