JAMSHEDPUR – In a riveting Indian Super League match at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati, Jamshedpur FC fought a hard battle but ultimately lost to NorthEast United FC, with the scoreboard reading 2-1 in favor of the home team.

The match began with both teams displaying fierce resolve.

Jamshedpur FC took an early lead as Daniel Chima Chukwu converted a penalty, although his initial kick was saved by the NorthEast United goalie.

Going into half-time, Jamshedpur FC maintained their lead.

However, the second half told a different tale.

NorthEast United FC staged a remarkable comeback, leveling the score in the 93rd minute courtesy of Míchel Zabaco’s immaculate finish.

Minutes later, a penalty awarded to the home team was successfully converted by Ibson Melo, sealing Jamshedpur FC’s fate.

The Men of Steel will aim for redemption when they face Mohun Bagan Super Giant at The Furnace on November 1st.
