Kolhan University Students Face Academic Setback Due to Lack of Elective Subjects

Student Representatives Urge Quick Resolution as Universities elsewhere Implement Fixes for Similar Issues

Aggrieved students of Kolhan University face challenges due to unavailability of 2 elective subjects; representatives demand immediate action and warn of phased agitation.

JAMSHEDPUR – Representatives of the Kolhan Chhatra Sangharsh Morcha met with the Pro TeVice-Chancellor-in-charge today to address a burgeoning academic crisis affecting students from the 2017-20, 2018-21, and 2019-22 graduating sessions.

Due to the absence of two elective subjects in their curricula, these students are unable to complete their education requirements, rendering them ineligible to fill out reinstatement forms.

Virendra Kumar, a representative of the Morcha and the Deputy Secretary of the Kolhan Students‘ Union, urged the university to follow the example set by other educational institutions that have addressed similar issues by conducting special examinations.

Student leaders including Suraj Ojha, Rahul Kumar, and Subodh Mahakud have also warned of phased protests should the university administration continue to neglect the concerns of its student body.

Several affected students were present at the meeting to highlight their plight and advocate for timely resolutions.
