Seraikela DC, SP Inaugurate Training for Child Welfare Police Officers

One-day Orientation for Child Welfare Police Officers at Seraikela; Focus on JJ Act, POCSO Act, and Child Rights

Seraikela’s Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police inaugurate training for child welfare police; emphasis on JJ Act, POCSO Act, Child Rights, and helpline 1098.

SERAIKELA – Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla and Superintendent of Police Dr. Vimal Kumar inaugurated a one-day orientation and training course for child welfare police personnel at the Seraikela District Collectorate.

The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for understanding the Act’s provisions in order to assist children more effectively.

Detailed information about the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act was provided by the Deputy Superintendent of Police Headquarters.

Further, District Legal Services Authority secretary Kumar Kranti Prasad furnished exhaustive information about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Addressing crimes and atrocities against children, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged the Superintendent of Police to diligently follow the Child Rights Act’s procedure.

Dr. Vimal Kumar elaborated on the JJ Act and POCSO Act, explaining the steps the government is taking to halt child sexual exploitation and molestation.

He emphasized the significance of teaching children about good and bad touch from family members and the role of community awareness.

The District Child Protection Officer provided the child helpline number 1098, highlighting how to report incidents involving children to these organizations and the helpline.
