Revenue Targets and Collection Figures Revealed; Show Cause Given to Inspector of Weights and Measures

Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri instructs departments to collect revenue as per target; specific zones and departments’ revenue collections detailed, focus on 100% monthly collection.

JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri has directed all concerned departments to collect revenue as per their designated targets.

He inquired about revenue received from internal resources and emphasized the need to speed up revenue collection across various zones and departments.

A show-cause notice was given to the Inspector of Weights and Measures for absence from the meeting.

Details of revenue collected by various zones and departments were discussed, with the State tax urban zone collecting 26% of the annual target, Jamshedpur zone 32%, Singhbhum zone 28%, and Adityapur zone 27%.

Among the departments, the Product department collected 29%, Mining department 7%, Agriculture department 54%, JNAC achieved 24% of its target, Mango Municipal Corporation 55%, Jugsalai Municipal Council 59%, and Chakulia Nagar Panchayat 47%.

In the electricity division, Jamshedpur collected 47% of revenue, Mango 42%, and Ghatshila 40%.

Deputy Commissioner Bhajantri instructed all departments to put forth their best efforts to collect 100% revenue monthly as per the annual target.
