Local residents caught and thrashed a young man stealing mobiles at Chaibasa bus stand; police arrived to pacify the situation.

JAMSHEDPUR – Anger erupted at the Chaibasa bus stand under Bagbera police station in Jamshedpur.

A young man, caught stealing a mobile phone, was seized and thrashed by local people.

Three youths stole two mobiles from passengers on a passenger bus standing at the Chaibasa bus stand.

Two youths fled while running away due to the commotion.

One youth was caught by the local people and beaten fiercely.

Bagbeda police reached the spot as soon as the information was received.

Police pacified the matter, took the young man into custody, and took him to the police station.

The identity of the young man and his other accomplices is being investigated.
