TSUISL Takes Strides in Dengue Prevention in Jamshedpur with Varied Initiatives
Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (TSUISL) leads dengue prevention in Jamshedpur with extensive measures and community engagement.
JAMSHEDPUR – In an effort to tackle dengue prevention, the Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (TSUISL) has held 20 school awareness workshops in all six zones of Jamshedpur.
TSUISL has been utilizing various communication channels like Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) through mobile platforms, actively reaching people daily since April 2023. Additionally, IEC through FM has been in use since June 2023.
201,970 health conversations have been held as a part of TSUISL’s aggressive door-to-door health discussions, which aim to reach out to the community and raise awareness in addition to conducting home searches and destroying breeding sites.
The eradication of indoor and outdoor breeding grounds has been a top priority for TSUISL. The latest statistics for 2023 reveal that 6,651 fewer indoor breeding places and 12,475 outdoor breeding sites no longer exist (up to July).
The remarkable strides in dengue prevention by TSUISL during the last several years have resulted in 252,463 housing searches so far this fiscal year.
Six zones in Jamshedpur, including the Bagan region, have been the focus of these initiatives: Ramdas Bhatta, Sonari, CPHO, Kashidih, Burmamines, and Baridih.
