Filaria Eradication Campaign Begins in Seraikela, Deputy Commissioner Takes Lead
Seraikela Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla inaugurates the Filaria eradication campaign, emphasizing the importance of public participation and proper medication distribution.
SERAIKELA – Seraikela Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla inaugurated the MDA, IDEA campaign under the Filaria eradication program from Seraikela Sadar Hospital premises on Thursday by consuming filariasis medicine himself.
The Deputy Commissioner said that public participation is necessary in the campaign to eradicate filaria.
For a successful operation of the campaign, cooperation from print and electronic media representatives, local public representatives, and representatives of various social organizations must be taken.
During this, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officials regarding the successful operation of the campaign.
The Deputy Commissioner said that to fulfill the objective of the campaign, all drug administrators should make sure that 100 percent eligible people are given medicines according to the standard.
Along with this, a correct report must be made available in the office on time.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that people should be made aware of the symptoms of filariasis, its prevention, and the use of its medicines through various mediums.
The campaign, aimed at total eradication of the disease, will run from August 10 to August 25.
