Deputy Development Commissioner reviews "Meri Mati Mera Desh" campaign, urging residents to participate in planting saplings and uploading selfies on the official portal.
JAMSHEDPUR – According to the instructions of District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri, Deputy Development Commissioner Mr. Manish Kumar held a review meeting for the successful implementation of the "Meri Mati Mera Desh" campaign, running from August 9 to August 30.
The campaign was marked with full enthusiasm and was met with instructions to ensure success.
Saplings will be planted in Panchayats, and heroes will be mentioned on the inscription.
Under the campaign, instructions were given to construct a memorial site near Amrit Sarovar and to plant and protect it around the lake.
If there is no Amrit Sarovar, schools, Anganwadi centers, at least 75 saplings were directed to be planted under this campaign around Panchayat Bhavan and other government buildings.
The campaign aims to remember and respect freedom fighters and the heroes who were martyred while on duty, along with their families, in a salute to the heroes.
People were instructed to upload a selfie taken after taking the oath of Panch Pran at the memorial site on the portal.
Residents of the district were also encouraged to take a selfie with a handful of soil or a lamp and upload it on the official portal https://merimaatimeradesh.gov.in/.
The district administration appealed to public representatives and all residents to participate in the programs, emphasizing community engagement in the campaign.
