World Tribal Day Celebrated with Fanfare in Govindpur Patel School

World Tribal Day marked with colorful programs at Govindpur Patel School, Jamshedpur; community leaders call for preservation of tribal culture and education.

JAMSHEDPUR – World Tribal Day was celebrated with grandeur in North Chhota Govindpur Panchayat at Govindpur Patel School.

Under the initiative "Meri Mati Mera Desh," organized by Chief Ranjit Singh Sardar on Tribal Day, a handful of soil was collected as a symbol of unity and heritage.

Zilla Parishad President Bari Murmu, Vice President Pankaj Sinha, and Zilla Parishad member Dr. Paritosh Singh joined as chief guests on this occasion.

A colorful program was organized by the school children.

Following the event, a Shobha Yatra toured different areas of Govindpur, spreading joy and culture.

Addressing the gathering, Zilla Parishad President Bari Murmu emphasized that the tribal community, being worshipers of nature, needed to preserve and propagate their unique culture.

Murmu stressed the importance of protecting the tribe’s water, forest, and land.

Zilla Parishad member Dr. Paritosh Singh spoke about the importance of education, calling it the only weapon that can lead to the all-round development of tribals.

Former Councilor Sunita Shah, Panchayat Samiti Satveer Singh Bagga, Patel School Headmistress Sarita Jaiswal, Head Rakhi Singh Sardar, Sonka Sardar, Reena Sardar, Dinesh Kumar, Laxmi Devi, Madhu Devi, Kalavati Devi, Narayan Besra, and other panchayat representatives were present during the celebration.
