Free Artificial Limb Transplant Camp in Jamshedpur Extended
A free artificial limb transplant camp in Jamshedpur is extended for a day due to high demand, benefitting around 400 people.
JAMSHEDPUR – Under the joint patronage of Shri Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti and Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City branch, a free artificial limb transplant camp was inaugurated on August 1 at Agrasen Bhawan, Sakchi.
Former Chief Minister of the state, Raghubar Das, formally concluded the three-day event today.
However, due to the large turnout, the camp has been extended for an additional day.
The extension aims to provide more assistance to the disabled in need.
The organizers reached out to aid those from the city and remote areas who were otherwise overlooked by society.
An organizer said that with the installation of artificial limbs, a disabled person can lead a normal life.
Approximately 400 individuals have been helped so far, illuminating their faces with newfound hope and joy.
The camp was initially planned as a three-day event for humanitarian service.
Yet, considering the needs of the beneficiaries, it has been extended by one more day.
