ESDCA Players Excel at Jharkhand State Junior Chess Championship

Standout performances at the 22nd Jharkhand State Junior Under-19 Chess Championship by East Singhbhum District Chess Association players.

JAMSHEDPUR – The East Singhbhum District Chess Association (ESDCA) players distinguished themselves with outstanding performances at the 22nd Jharkhand State Junior Under-19 Boys and Girls Chess Championship.

In attendance were prominent personalities, including Chief Sports Excellence Centres, TFA & Sports at Tata Steel, Mukul Vinayak Choudhary, and ESDCA general secretary NK Tiwari.

Others present included Vibhuti Adesara, Senior Manager of Sports at Tata Steel, Jayant Kumar Bhuyan, Chief Arbiter, and Chandan Kumar Prasad, Chess Coach.

These figures were there to honour the triumphant players for their impressive accomplishments.

Third place was secured in the boys’ category by Devanjan Sinha, and in the girls’ division by Kriti Kumari.

Sunidhi Singh, another talented player, came out on top in the ladies’ division of the championship.

Lastly, the event culminated with Adhiraj Mitra of ESDCA winning the boys’ category of the chess championship, which took place at the Sarla Birla Campus in Ranchi from July 27 to July 30, 2023.
