Unexpected Cow Encounter Leads to Bike Accident on NH 18

Kolkata residents Sameer Das and Deep Sadhukhan suffer injuries after their bike hits a cow on National Highway 18, near Bahragora.

JAMSHEDPUR – An unexpected encounter with a cow resulted in a biking accident on National Highway (NH) 18, near Bahragora in the East Singhbhum district, under Bahragora police station.

The incident, which took place on Sunday night, resulted in injuries to bike riders Sameer Das, 54, and Deep Sadhukhan, 37, hailing from Kolkata, West Bengal.

Upon the bike losing control and colliding with the cow, both riders fell on the road and sustained injuries.

Immediately after the incident, locals called a 108 ambulance to transport the injured riders to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Bahragora where they are currently receiving treatment.

The mishap reportedly occurred when a cow unexpectedly appeared in their path as they were returning to Kolkata after visiting the Rajrappa temple.

The families of both injured parties have been informed about the accident.
