Kargil Diwas Commemoration by Rotary Club Honours National Heroes
Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City marks Kargil Diwas with felicitation of 9 troops and their families, including lone URI assault survivor, Surendra Singh.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City held a memorable event on Kargil Diwas at Rajendra Vidyalaya Auditorium.
Around 300 soldiers and their families were present, creating an atmosphere of pride and honour.
The club had the unique opportunity to personally welcome and meet these brave individuals.
Among them was Surendra Singh from Delhi Cant, the lone survivor of the URI assault, whose presence was a badge of honour for Rotary Steel City.
In recognition of their bravery, nine troops were congratulated with the presentation of shawls.
MLA Saryu Roy was the esteemed guest of the occasion, making the commemoration of Kargil Diwas all the more special.
