Jamshedpur Police Vigilant for Muharram Celebrations; Flag March Conducted

The district police of Jamshedpur ensure full preparedness and heightened alertness for the upcoming Muharram celebrations to prevent any potential disruptions.

JAMSHEDPUR – As Muharram draws near, the district police of Jamshedpur have heightened their vigilance and preparedness.

In order to deter any attempts by anti-social elements to disrupt the peaceful celebrations, the district police conducted a flag march across the district.

Muharram, a significant observance for the Muslim community, will see 9th day of the festival celebrated on July 28th and 10th day on July 29th.

The district police of Jamshedpur ensure full preparedness and heightened alertness for the upcoming Muharram celebrations to prevent any potential disruptions caused by anti-social elements.

On the 10th day, a Muharram procession will be held, with the local Muslim community taking out the procession in different police station areas across the district.

In anticipation of these events, the district police and district administration have deployed additional police forces and held continuous meetings with the Peace Committee and Akhara Committees regarding Muharram.

The Akhara Committees have committed to adhering to the pre-determined routes for the processions.

Furthermore, the district police are closely monitoring social media to thwart any rumours or objectionable messages that could potentially disrupt the peace.

The goal is to ensure that the Akhada processions take place in a harmonious and peaceful manner, promoting mutual respect and brotherhood among the community.

The SSP said that the district police’s flag march was held to demonste their presence and commitment to maintaining order during the Muharram celebrations.
